An Insecure North?

State actors are becoming increasingly interested in the economic potential and security dynamics of Arctic space as effects global climatic change rapidly shape world’s polar spaces. National governments have responded to these changing by tailoring their defence policies reflect what they believe be most pressing challenges presence region. This article asks; how is north framed whose voices reflected Canadian policy? It concludes that conventional framing Canada’s remains deeply influenced idealized imagined narratives governance with little inclusion disparate voices.
